I spent the whole thing looking at it, rather than knowing what was going on...too smashy for the little ones, not Pixar enough for everyone else... Go to Full Review

There's a dynamic, human edge to the skilfully drawn characters that is sadly missing from the inanimate dialogue, "humour" and voice work. The film's well-meaning message about conserving endangered species is clumsily deployed too. Go to Full Review

Here's a manic, soulless animated kids' caper, with a hug-a-hippo message for our eco-anxious times awkwardly bolted on. Go to Full Review

A kids' spy film about climate change, Spycies suffers from uneven storytelling and dated jokes. Luckily the animation is gorgeous and often atmospheric, the anthropomorphic animals vivid and personable. Go to Full Review

Adam H Apr 27 I respectfully disagree with most reviews. The animation was absolutely breathtaking throughout, and the story was fun and exciting. It is for kids, and mine love it. They've watched it several times over, and each have favourite moments - my son loves the bit where the snake accidentally has coffee and becomes a dragon. It's a great movie with elite animation imo See more Kervin G 10/15/2023 Spycies looked like an interesting movie that I never actually heard of until now. The setting looked more like Zootopia and The Bad Guys combined but set in a bit more of a futuristic setting but it has fantasy elements which literally includes a dragon. The action in the movie is absolutely amazing. The movie has actual fight scenes that this almost has to offer. The graphics were absolutely amazing especially how they did with the environment and I also how they made silencer pistols with laser guns and plot of the story is just good enough, It's not really too perfect but it is still good. However, some of the scenes and the characters in the movie felt a little unnecessary like Mia the bee. At least Vladimir the cat and Chloe the rabbit really got my attention while watching this movie. Unless they plan on making a spinoff or another sequel for the movie. Spycies maybe looked like another generic movie but this movie has absolutely amazing graphics that this movie has to offer and mostly the fight scenes. See more Laurian D @Laurian 09/01/2023 A charming story, dragged down by some unnecessary action sequences. Worth watching though, kids and pre-teens will definitely enjoy it without being bothered by the overlong action sequences. See more Thomas R 12/30/2022 Best movie I've ever seen!
