Kimber Myers Los Angeles Times Its incoherent script is packed with more "Star Wars" references than Kevin Smith's entire oeuvre, but none of the laughs. Nov 29, 2018 Full Review Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed There are occasional guffaws, but the attempts at wit are lost in a myriad sex jokes, sex gags, and puns, and double entendres, ad nauseum. Jul 3, 2020 Full Review Alan Ng Film Threat Stadium Anthems' storyline is buried deep, deep, deep in this film. Piled on top of it is a non-stop rambling of pithy dialogue in hopes of sounding cool and clever, but coming off as smart-alecky. Rated: 3/10 Nov 30, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member A fun exploration of the music recording industry, this mockumentary is both insightful and critical. The characters are colourful and enjoyable, but some border on caricatures, yet with moments of honesty. The humour isn't as clever and subtle as a Christopher Guest mockumentary, and the jokes can be crass and offensive. Nonetheless, I found myself laughing at it's dark humor…and the laughs come often, keeping the movie moving. But don't be fooled, the movie has moments of heart, thoughtfulness and intelligence, which makes for a well-rounded, satisfying, entertaining film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Fun as hell music mockumentary - it's not quite Spinal Tap, but what is? I actually laughed out loud multiple times, what more can you ask for from a fun movie on Amazon Prime? Well directed, written and acted. Go check it out. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review william w A flip the script updated Spinal Tap with a really good original soundtrack. A large cast is kept together by quick witted parodies of the male dominated musical industry. Anyone can enjoy this movie regardless of whether they are close to the entertainment industry or just observe the craziness in the media. Worth a watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member This sardonic quasi-mockumentary offers up tons of dry humor delivered by a charming and very funny cast. It ticks a lot of personal boxes for me as a musician. The business satire is sharp and on point, the characters are strangely believable (there are plenty of people as absurd as this, I kid you not!), the gags keeps coming on a steady level and there's even a slyly communicated message to the whole thing. Anyone interested in current independent film should check out this comedic gem! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Edgy hilarious dialogue, worthy of rock n roll, while even being a bit educational, with the references to real criticisms and observations of the music industry. The characters and acting are all great. Overall I had a blast watching it. Looks like the writer director even wrote the music, a real unique passion project. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Watching Stadium Anthems was simply an experience. The complexities of making such a film are immense, especially as an independent film on limited resources. Despite of that, the results were very impressive. All the characters, and there were many of them, were unique, lovable, and engaging, no matter how ‘normal' or ‘weird'. The bond and respect among the actors were obvious. The writing, directing, acting, were in top form. The cinematography, the editing, and the music helped create a mood that was original and engaging. Stadium Anthems is film-making at its best. This is a movie that must be watched more than once to discover all the beautiful layers that it holds. I recommend it highly… and will be watching it again.
