ashley h Stallion Road is an okay film. It is about a veterinarian and rancher and a novelist who compete for the affections of a horse breeder. Ronald Regan and Zachary Scott give decent performances. The screenplay is a little slow in places. James V. Kern did an alright job directing this movie. I liked this motion picture because of the drama. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member If you love horses and jumping, this movie is a must see Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member The movie begins with a man starting to write a book about a seemingly significant dramatic experience regarding a past love interest. Sounds like the start of a very dignified drama film right? Nope! The basis of drama in this failed love story is the neglecting of an ill horse. A HORSE?! The death of ONE horse is literally the main tragedy of the film. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member It's a horse opera with Reagan his usual bland self. That's compensated for with enjoyable performances from Zachary Scott, not the heel for a change, and Alexis Smith getting a chance to show her flinty spirit during the period where Warners was wasting her as the beautiful but icy sophisticate.
