Simran Hans Observer (UK) The whole thing feels strangely pedestrian, unable to capture or channel Bowie's maverick spirit. Rated: 1/5 Jan 17, 2021 Full Review John Nugent Empire Magazine A by-the-numbers biopic that does a disservice to its star and subject, and sorely missing a killer soundtrack. Watch The Man Who Fell To Earth instead. Rated: 2/5 Jan 16, 2021 Full Review Mark Kermode Kermode & Mayo's Film Review Listen to your records. It's all there. There's nothing this film gives you that you didn't already know. Jan 16, 2021 Full Review Amy Smith InSession Film A David Bowie bio-pic should perform on the level of Rocketman, but this might just be one of the worst biopics to be made. For those who disliked Bohemian Rhapsody, you will be in for a ride with this one. Rated: D Mar 1, 2024 Full Review Serena Seghedoni Loud and Clear Reviews Flynn plays his Bowie-inspired character remarkably, and with a level of emotion that, at times, manages to make us forget about the cheap costumes, outdated clichés, laughable mime routines and melodramatic sequences all featured in this movie. Rated: 2/5 Oct 22, 2023 Full Review Victoria Luxford City AM A nice idea, hampered by circumstance and execution. There will no doubt be many films made about David Bowie and the impact he had on the world. They do well to avoid Stardusts mistakes. Rated: 2/5 Feb 28, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

kai e As a huge bowie fan it's hard not to like it, however this movie had a really disappointing sound track, you barely had any of his songs their, also not showing you much new , but the main actor was incredible and really got David Bowie's facial action, Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/23/24 Full Review Honest D Why even make this movie at all? Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/24 Full Review Dylan C NO No no!!!!!! this is the worst film of the year of the decade and of all time why they would make a david bowie movie that is boring when he and his music were not. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/24 Full Review Ravenswood R A waste of space oddity that should have been shelved and never released. The story concerns David Bowie being influenced by contemporary culture and his older half brother being schizophrenic to become Ziggy Stardust. The portrayal of mental illness and the fact that it can run in families so upset Duncan Jones and crazy Angie Bowie that they would not allow any Bowie music to be used in the film. It is a mess. The characterization of Bowie as a slow to catch on, clueless weirdo is unwelcome and not accurate. Marc Maron acts exactly like Marc Maron, and all the rock journalists are portrayed as egotistical gatekeepers without whose approval no music can ever become popular. Strange and misguided film which takes on a topic far beyond the scope of effort put into researching, writing and telling the story, or making the film. A very weak film is the result. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 12/13/23 Full Review Niya L This was the most boring meaningless movie even after an hour in I got nothing from it. Wish I could take that time back! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/20/23 Full Review Ed F Not very good, difficult to watch. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
