Matthew S Painfully cheesy, this is the last movie my fiancée is allowed to pick, seriously. Very predictable movie. Didn't laugh once, the wholesome thing was so over done, was even cringy at times. I have seen every romcom, including christmas love stories. Romcoms are a variation around the same one theme. Also the suspens is nil, it's the acting, whatever they do to pass the time, including excuses they make to love or not love each other, dying and new loves and the lines that can be good and fun. For this, acting has to be pleasant and light, the story focused enough on some simple actions. The music also matters. When the music is lame, the acting heavy and the story is made opaque to build some articifial higher level than what is expected, it is not a good romcom, it becomes boring. As romcom go, this one is in the latter category. The story is annoyingly devoid of any relevant or interesting dialogues, there are things happening but of no interest. The acting is heavy.
