Audience Member best pinoy movie ending ever. using Toni G's real lovelife was just the best move on that I couldn't even hardly imagine. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Starting Over Again is a heart-warming comedy, romance and drama movie about hoping for second chances in relationship and the challenges in moving on from its consequences. It's also a movie for hopeless romantic viewers because its story is relatable as the movie draws its story that happens in real life. The romantic theme of this film is far from the usual Filipino romance flicks that we used to watched so be surprise by its climax. Toni Gonzaga's character as Ginny Gonzales epitomizes a maturing person. Learning and finally accepting the love that has been already a close chapter of her love life was a mature lesson that her character imparts in this movie. Piolo Pascual is outstanding as Marco Villanueva - his character showed us that painful experiences can push person to be the best and positive that he/she can be. Iza Calzado being a secondary cast is so good in her role even though she just step on the story halfway through the movie. She was unforgettable in this supporting role which I think her Patricia de Guia character deserves a larger part in the story. Starting Over Again teaches us to be mature in love and while closure is an important part of relationships, it starts in acceptance as one of the keys to move on in life. Good choice of a very high recall song "Starting Over Again" originally sung by Dionne Warwick and then Natalie Cole but covered by Lani Misalucha for this film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member For a mainstream Pinoy rom-com-drama, this one's quite good. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member ANOTHER TEDDY FLIX MOVIE REVIEW: "Starting Over Again (2014)" A FILIPINO ROMANTIC MASTERPIECE! THIS LOVE STORY IS A POWERFUL BLEND OF 'SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE' MEET 'LOVE AND BASKETBALL'! MY NEW GREATEST ROMANCE FILM HANDS DOWN! PLOT: Starting Over Again? is about two exes, Ginny (Toni Gonzaga?), an architecture student, and Marco (Piolo Pascual?), a history professor, see each other again after close to 5 years. REVIEW: Previously titled "Unlove You", this film has everything that a romance should have, including a minor degree of comedy. It's heartfelt and it teaches a powerful lessons on the subjects of love, forgiveness, fear and maturity. I was in tears 3 times during this film and towards the end, I wanted to slap myself for basically pissing on relationships earlier in life that I should have nurtured and made a go of them. My favorite scene in the film is the kitchen confrontation between Ginny and Patty (Iza Calzado?) where Ginny says " I AM HIS EX, THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE ... I AM HIS PAST & I OWN A BIG PART OF HIM THAT YOU WILL NEVER GET!!". The Starting Over Again (film)? is THOUGHT PROVOCATIVE while at the same time will have you GLUED TO THE TV SCREEN as this well written love story unfolds. This Olivia M. Lamasan directed movie is CLEARLY A 5 STAR FILM and has not topped my personal GREATEST ROMANCE OF ALL list. -- https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10152990774254429.1073743187.518209428&type=1&l=4399201f6c Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member "Ginny: How do I unlove you? Marco: i dont know. but i know i can never unlove you. I'll love you in a different way now." one of the most memorable quote from the movie and it brings me loads of tears. The movie gives me a lot to think about. a lot of courage to face the reality. and most importantly, like the movie title, learn to start all over again! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member very good cast with a well-written story! highly recommended! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews
