Diego Galán El Pais (Spain) Perhaps this is the state of things, but it's probably just the mood of a director with issues who hasn't found the support of his peers outside his country. william k Arguably Wim Wenders' best movie is a sum of his work and his artistry and also presents the haphazardness of film-making, photographed in beautiful black-and-white images; alone, the entrance sequence of the post-apocalyptic sci-fi film demonstrates what Wenders would Wenders himself could have done with such a project. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Could so. tell me if the song about Hollywood that Gordon sings at the end in the mobile home, trying to cover Fritz voice, is a real song made by a musician and a singer, a song I could find somewhere, or is it just a song figured out for the movie ? Thanks Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member A personal film for Wenders, The State of Things is a slow burner, which only picks up pace and interest in it's final third. Each character has their own story, but we never get any time to get to know them, leaving the viewer not really caring. What State excels in though is its wonderful cinematography, captured well in the last scene, and a great soundtrack. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting film but the parts could have added up to a greater whole. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Filmography is gorgeous and as it seems within Wenders films the focus is in making a movie and directors look on the world not in the narrative itself. Wenders give lto of time for his actors and actresses being able to peal new layers of these characters. Portugal, Lisbon and Sintra are amazing location for the shoots. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member i watched this film again nearly , think its a masterpiece Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews
