Avi Offer NYC Movie Guru A triumph! Captivating, heartfelt and exhilarating. Stelios has much more emotional depth and warmth than A Complete Unknown, Elvis and Bohemian Rhapsody combined. May 22, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

S.K. It was informative and beautifully done. The acting was amazing. Very nostalgic. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/19/25 Full Review Maria This movie is about the life of one of the greatest singers in Greece. Stelios was born to sing in a struggling dictatorship system. The movie is long but worth it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/18/25 Full Review julia a Excellent Movie , Stelios Kazantzidis is a legend Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/14/25 Full Review Pete S Recommend for anyone remotely familiar with Stelios Kazantzakis, you'll enjoy it. Even if not, there are plenty of interesting thoughts about the pros and cons of being essentially a pop icon. And also just life lessons in general - how it's all really a matter of perspective. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/11/25 Full Review Samuel This is a splendid biopic the storyline did seem very familiar to that of some other films in this genre, e.g., "Zohar", the biopic of the singer Zohar Mizrahi. That would only make sense, though, because so many famous musicians (and artists in general) have had such similar, bittersweet, yet very unique and exciting, life-experiences! Stelios Kazantzidis was a wonderful and popular musician, but this film made it clear that his folky zest, much of which came from his childhood upbringing, never left his work, no matter what! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/09/25 Full Review JAMES V While I was not familiar with Stelios himself, as a world class singer, I knew several of the songs that he sang. Surprisingly, I had been given ticket, and I thought, Why not? This movie about the life of very famous Stelios who was born in Greece was very powerful. I toughly enjoyed, although it was about 20 minutes too long. He apparently was very very famous in Greece and some European countries and his musical repertoire. In discussing with others, his life seemed so reminiscent of Elvis, that is: very talented singer; the actor playing him was quite handsome; well known; his agents were taking financial advantage of him; and he had troubled dating and marital relationships. Having said the above, I really enjoyed the entire movies. While it was in the Greek Language, the Subtitles were in English and quite accurate. I wholeheartedly recommend this movie, as it is bound to win various movie awards in US and Europe, Jim V, S.F. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/25/25 Full Review Read all reviews
