The film, which will incorporate documentary, archival and scripted elements, will recount Fox's extraordinary story in his own words -- the improbable tale of an undersized kid from a Canadian army base who rose to the heights of stardom in 1980s Hollywood. The account of Fox's public life, full of nostalgic thrills and cinematic gloss, will unspool alongside his never-before-seen private journey, including the years that followed his diagnosis, at 29, with Parkinson's disease. Intimate and honest, and produced with unprecedented access to Fox and his family, the film will chronicle Fox's personal and professional triumphs and travails, and will explore what happens when an incurable optimist confronts an incurable disease. With a mix of adventure and romance, comedy and drama, watching the film will feel like... well, like a Michael J. Fox movie.

William Always liked Michael J. Fox. He had determination along with great talent. Great story of his climb to success and his struggles dealing with Parkinson disease! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/16/23 Full Review Mirela V I haven't been left with much after watching it, it didn't have a message that stood out, was maybe a bit too polished. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/19/24 Full Review olivia r Amazingly well done. The editing was so creative and I love how they hid nothing from us. It was purely just raw, unfiltered truth. The metaphor used of the actual thought of being still is really powerful. If you're a fan of MJF then definitely watch this! Just make sure you have a tissue box nearby. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/02/24 Full Review Steve K Moving. No pun intended. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/31/24 Full Review Melissa B This was such a beautiful and unique film. I love hearing more of Michael J. Fox's story. The storytelling and editing were so great -- using his films to help tell his story was an inspired choice. This film is a treasure to have. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/25/24 Full Review Wayne K Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie could have so easily been a depressing and clinical analysis of disease and illness that goes out of its way to show us all the worst effects of the condition, without revealing the humanity of those who suffer from it. Fortunately for us, this is not the case here. Infused with ample humour and wit, one of the most easy to love actors in the business takes us through his early life, his career, his Parkinson’s diagnosis and brings us to the present day where he’s dealing with the condition as it slowly but surely advances. Fox’s incredibly self-effacing nature makes his interview segments a joy to watch. He doesn’t want our pity or sympathy, he just wants to live his life the best way he can, and while it’s difficult watching him go through hard times thanks to his condition, he always has a joke or self-deprecating quip that puts you at ease. It’s an incredibly uplifting and life-affirming documentary that exists as both an examination of the consequences of fame and success, and as a testament to the raw, untameable power of the human spirit.
