Critics Consensus

Still Crazy can't completely escape the shadow left by the classic rock mockumentaries of the past, but it earns a commendable number of laughs in its own right.

Ginnie S Jul 25 This film makes you laugh and cry, an easy watch with catchy songs and great names from the 1990s love this film See more Feb 27 A story about a '70s band that falls apart and reunite years later. They rediscover each other and themselves as they rise again to fame and success. It's a story that could be true about any circle of friends but in this case it's about a rock band. Although a bit corny and predictable, it's still authentic and profound enough to lift you up as they struggle and win their way back. See more Ed L Dec 15 A masterpiece! What do you expect, with that cast, and those screenwriters? I watch it every year, if not more often. It never ages. Sure, Spinal Tap is marginally amusing. Worth watching once. But SC is a hilarious riot! Not only is the music great, but it's very funny, and deeply moving at times. Spinal Tap doesn't even come close.
