nick s The movie was entertaining with some well filmed moments of dread. The lead actors were great. But as a thriller it was very boxed in - with only a few characters introduced there were few names in the whodunnit box. The movie also lost its way near the end with a long monologue just when things were meant to be heating up, followed by a lackluster finale. A little more work on the sound design and editing might have helped. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/08/24 Full Review michelle h it was a very stilted movie. very dry. it just didn't have much life to it. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 08/18/24 Full Review Roger J Not very good. Slow and tedious, poor plot line, poor production. Question: what part did Meryl Streep play. Answer: Meryl Streep... she always does. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 08/14/24 Full Review Aldo G When filmmakers pay homage to a master filmmaker they often produce an uninspired work. That's what Robert Benton's tribute to Alfred Hitchcock felt like to me. Nonetheless, it satisfied my curiosity. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/05/24 Full Review Northern R Boy this is apparently way underrated. I just happened to watch it last night. Never even heard of it. I was struck by how beautifully it was shot. The cast, Streep is breathtaking, and Scheider was impressive. Reminded me of Hitchcock, was full of great NYC shots, art, mystery. Just very good. Watch it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/21/24 Full Review Jocelyn This movie is supposed to be an hommage to Hitchcock, but for some reason Roger Benton completely forgot to give his thriller a musical score. Boring with no thrills whatsoever. A good cast wasted. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/02/23 Full Review Read all reviews
