Audience Member I knew I was in for it when the opening credits rolled & I saw this was directed by Alan Smithee. Someone wanted to disassociate themselves w/ this project. It's not the turkey that I was expecting by it is far from being any good. Actually it is a bit of a mess (especially the end) that I can see that the director was hopefully expecting more (maybe the next Police Academy) but in that same respect that's not high comedy art either. Box office lightning but hardly comedy gold. Okay I shouldn't be that way because Police Academy was funny when I was 12. Stitches may be amusing to a 12 year old but there is no box office returns if they watch it on cable.
