Audience Member The fact this film never received any recognition is extremely unfortunate. Based on devastatingly true events this type of story has been made into film many times. This particular film however in my opinion was the best version of all simply because it had the stronger character developments and far more heart. Compared to "The secrets she keeps, Empty cradle,Baby Snatcher or any other rendition I prefer this movie all the more. The unbreakable and heartfelt relationship between husband and wife is what gives this feature a leg up compared to the other versions. Also the Villain was more believable because of her needy and clingy personality. Instead of behaving overly psychotic or going overboard in her approach to win over the baby's family was far more subtle. Therefore the story became more realistic and threatening. No one would trust or allow someone into their lives if they knew the threat was imminent. By posing as the vulnerable friend this woman not only gains easy access into the lives of her Victims but takes advantage of the pregnant mother's good nature.Overall this depiction of the Baby snatcher came across far more effective compared to any other. Larisa Oleynik truly shines as the protagonist heroine setting the perfect example for compassion and strength despite the horrific events she endures.
