It must be a mistake, because this movie is so predictable in all scenes that is painful to watch, at the same time planting and twisting subplots of no consistency or closure. Surprisingly, the end is not predictable, something that after the whole movie would have been at least of some pacifying consistency. But no, it is an even worse tentative at the ‘surprise!’ explanation of it all. I personally found it of such inconclusive absurdity that I would ask for my hour back. It just does not make sense. Absolutely great cast and setting but the ending just ruined the whole thing for me. I thought the actors were good but the writing was just horrible. Don’t waste your time like I just wasted mine! Go get a root canal or something. You’ll probably enjoy yourself more than watching this movie! The world felt lived-in and authentic, which was amplified by the beautiful cinematography and fantastic direction. The cast was great especially, Clayne Crawford. Great capture of a small town feel with a dark side keeps you guessing on what is really happening.
