It is about a Moabitess priestess Ruth who is drawn both to a Judean man and to his talk of a forgiving God. Stuart Whitman and Peggy Wood give incredible performances. The script is well written. Henry Koster did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this motion picture because of the drama. The Story of Ruth is a must see. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Well written, good acting for newcomer Elana Eden. Isabel Quigly The Spectator Ruth runs so true to type that, after listing the attributes of its type, there is little else to say about it, except that it isn't quite bad enough to be outrageous, which seems almost a pity, in a style that, really demands outrage.
