Audience Member I have seen this movie its a pretty accurate rendition of stradivarius life it has alot of touching and true moments much of his early life is mystery but overall the acting is spot on the violin music can be bit harsh to ear at times id have to say simply on the subject of strad himself and his life its 99.9% accurate of what i know of him indepth probally more than most it has many heartbreaking and humorus parts to the movie but strad always pulls thru his first plauge his first wifes death first batch of 5 children his 2nd marriage and his 2nd batch of 5 children a tyrant at times a perfectionist to the 9,s but overall quinn manages without trying to give strad a true heart and soul of a man who gives his life to family and a instrument from its humble and mistreated orgins in hands of amati to the pinacle of its form to heights not reached even today not bad for 300 yrs i must say..immitaors come and go del gesu your stainers ect..but only strad shines above the rest..only person to come close is eh roth..imho.but 2nd only to the master..overall if you love violins the music the insight to a man and his history over all in my opinion its 99.9% legit from indepth knownledge of strad a must see if your violin curious!
