Audience Member Not impressed. Very bad story line, does absolutely nothing for the normal person and the director is self centered and wants everything about her. Why does a director want herself on their own documentary. Fame hungry!! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member everyone needs to see this movie - i watched it with my daughter, my nieces and all of my girlfriends. It truly is amazing how much we've been conditioned, and movies like this are the way of the future. I'm so in awe of these women. It needs to be a part of school curriculums!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member This was an AMAZING documentary. Very informative and gives older generations a peek of what it's like to live as a young person today with social media ads and advanced photoshopping constantly thrown in their faces. This is so important and should be shown by schools to their students to normalize different body types and stop the public health crisis that is body image issues and eating disorders before it is too late. Watch this film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a phenomenal watch. As the mother of a young girl the constant barrage of images that she sees of how a woman ought to look horrifies me. As a clinician who has worked with those struggling with eating disorders I am acutely aware of how devastating these images are. There needs to be changes in the fashion industry and this documentary not only highlights that issue but also provides direction on how things can change. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member I've been keeping up with Straight/Curve on Instagram for awhile and now I was finally able to watch the doc.. and it was incredible!! I truly hope this gets mainstream attention because it will greatly benefit any and all who watch. I think there are so many misconceptions and negative connotations with the representation of plus size and this perfectly sums up the reasons it's important. A very small portion of people in this world are naturally a super model body frame and this film showcases why it's important to represent all different body types, races, and ages. (Shout out to Nicola Griffin that's giving becky with the good hair a run for her money!) If you happen across this documentary, watch it. You won't regret it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Everybody should watch this film! So much body-positivity and self-love!
