Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times "Stray" falters in the narrative department but looks good and holds interest. Mar 1, 2019 Full Review Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter The film does... offer strong performances and striking visuals that compensate for its generic aspects. Feb 28, 2019 Full Review Kristy Puchko Pajiba This movie is only remarkable in how underwhelming it is. Feb 26, 2019 Full Review Craig Schroeder Battleship Pretension It boasts flimsy stakes and underdeveloped characters, mired by large chunks of unremarkable exposition and cradled on a central mystery that isn't all that compelling. Jan 7, 2021 Full Review Glenn Heath Jr. The Film Stage A portrait of emotional yearning that only man's best friend could properly embody. Rated: B Oct 30, 2020 Full Review Alan Ng Film Threat The problem with Stray is that it doesn't ever connect with the audience, with the exception of Murphy's back story. Audience Member EXCELLENT! Spiritual warfare. The brother felt reject and through that he developed anger [hardened heart] which harbored by darkness. The sister was an example of GOOD [white light]. The light won! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member I loved this movie, I found the script, the stark setting in the southern part of New Zealand, with the cast made this film so moving and the bringing together of the two lost souls so heart warming. The film stayed with me long after I'd left the cinema. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member My son liked it well enough. It was a pretty average Mormon feel-good family kinda film. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
