Though the story itself is comically predictable, Chloe Bailey’s earnest portrayal and the lure of the iconic Lynn Whitfield make the movie fun to watch even as the narrative completely unravels at the seams. Go to Full Review

The film drags on and the central tension flickers until the whole thing feels less like a purpose-built feature than a limited series hastily stitched into one, with Lee ham-handedly propping the door open for a sequel. Go to Full Review

Strung doesn’t exactly unravel, but it delivers more of the pleasures of a near-camp mash up than the emotional stakes of a psychological thriller. Go to Full Review

A horror film that’s not scary, a psychosexual thriller that isn’t slick [...] satire without a point and which isn’t smart, and camp that isn’t fun. Go to Full Review

Even if this were just a trashy thriller, I could have enjoyed an 85-minute movie about a poor woman hired by a family with secrets. However, this movie runs nearly two hours and has no reason to stick around that long. Go to Full Review

This ensemble is clearly giving it their all here and getting little in return, and they deserve a better movie than Strung manages to be. Go to Full Review

R T @RT34428227 1h Spoiler: Lynn Whitfield is the villain. SHOCKING, I know. This is a Lifetime movie in UHD. Mean that in the worst way. Don’t do it, bloodbath. Tubi* See more Monica L @SoCalGalMo 8h I really enjoyed this! It had some good twists. It made me jump a few times, it was sexy, definitely suspenseful. See more Liza T @LizaT131716 1d I actually really enjoyed Strung on Peacock. I’ve seen a lot of people say it was predictable, but honestly, it didn’t feel predictable to me. Maybe I missed some obvious clues, but I was genuinely surprised by several moments and thought the story kept my attention. I can understand why some people compare it to The Housemaid, and there are definitely some similar vibes, but Strung still had its own twist and personality. It wasn’t perfect, but it was entertaining, suspenseful, and better than I expected. I liked the pacing, the tension, and the way it kept me wondering what was really going on. Overall, I thought it was a solid thriller with its own flair. Definitely worth watching if you enjoy movies with drama, secrets, and a little “wait, what?” energy. See more Horror fan 4 @Horrorfan4life 1d What a wonderful surprise this was.The lying, cheating, greed and power hungry some people can be. What starts as an innocent encounter followed by a one night stand leads Laila into a whole new word. Desperate for money she takes a tutoring job for a rich family but after time she suspects something evil is happening in that house. I absolutely enjoyed this and the performances were good. Tim Treakle See more L J @Cracky 6d Its ok and worth watching. People are comparing it to the housemaid but its not even close. The acting is subpar, and the plot is too disjointed and chaotic. That said I didn't compare it to the housemaid myself because it is quite different. I did like the unexpected horror moments and for a cheesy drama its not bad. See more Melissa L @Agent99 6d I thought this was a great horror movie with a great soundtrack. I've played the violin, so I can relate to some of this, and I love classical music. Highly recommend it. See more Read all reviews
