When the Littles go to an orphanage to adopt a new family member, a charming young mouse named Stuart is chosen. While George is initially unwelcoming to his new brother, the family cat, Snowbell, is even less enthusiastic about having a mouse as his "master" and plots to get rid of him. Against these difficulties, Stuart resolves to face them with as much pluck, love and courage as he can muster. In doing so, he shows his beloved new family that great things can truly come in small packages.

Audience Member It’s been 25 years and this still holds up as harmless family entertainment Rob Minkoff, the co-director of the Lion King collaborates with M. Night Shyamalan Based on the book by EB White featuring a cast of Geena Davis, Hugh Laurie, Jonathan Lipniki, and voice actors Michael J. Fox and Nathan Lane The story centers on a family called The Littles whom are kind and loving The parents have 1 son named George but he desperately wants a brother So his parents decide to adopt the most unlikely of orphans…a small mouse named Stuart It’s highly unusual since he is a mouse and very small Even the cat Snowbell feels a rift being he has to treat him as a member of the family The cats he hangs out with also want to make an example of him It takes a while for Stuart to warm up to George but eventually both of them bond Things change though as two mice show up claiming to be his parents so now it all boils down to Stuart choosing to go or stay Michael J. Fox gives a very charming performance as the titular mouse being very expressive with the CGI by SONY Imageworks and the parents are so lovable not to mention a touching score by Alan Silvestri The film touches on some nice themes; some of us even having family members not related feel an empty space, it doesn’t matter if you’re the same species or not you can still belong anywhere, you don’t have to like each other or even look the same when it comes to family, feeling different is hard but it can be a blessing, acceptance is the best way to truly be happy for any lesson I missed both of these films in theaters but they're charming even if they stray from the source material It’s almost like the Mandela effect where watching this feels nothing like the original story audiences thought it would be But the fun special effects, bright colorful sets, costumes, the witty story, funny lines, and sharp performances make this a wonderful holiday viewing for all ages It also avoids being too cloying as many kids films are although most would argue it’s bland, dated, and forgettable Still a good entry that was followed by a much superior sequel Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/18/24 Full Review Jaden K This movie is bad, but not Monster House level, Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/31/24 Full Review Aidan B Had it moments, and the cast definitely elevated the movie: however, it just wasn't enough to save the film for me. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/13/24 Full Review Ethan H IM CURRENTLY ON A BUS TO BOOTCAMP AND IT MADE ME REMEMBER HOW MUCH I HATE THIS FILM. IM NEVER WATCH AGAIN. THANK YOU AND GOODBYE! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/01/24 Full Review Tiron D At least this is better than the Alvin and the Chipmunks live action movie. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/01/24 Full Review Audience Member I think Critics are too thinly detailed with how good this movie is and the Audience is too overdramatic or just troll spams by the Stuart Little Hate Cult from recent years. Objectively, It’s a good movie. There is character development between Stuart and the Family. There are many memorable scenes that are a part of the journey as well as the love/hate relationship from Snowbell to Stuart which grows very well to its ending. The detail on Stuart is excellent and it brings life to the character whilst being voiced by Michael J. Fox. You have to realize that attention to detail for a 1999 film is unbelievable. The cast is overall great though they definitely take this movie with lower maintenance but that’s understandable. Either way, it’s a good movie. Critics win this battle by default due to the trolls while the Critics themselves remain optimistic about the movie which is at the very least, true. 3.0 / 4.0 | 75% Positive Score Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/27/24 Full Review Read all reviews
