Audience Member A surrealist nightmare by Alain Robe-Grillet. Very non-linear, like most of his extremely surrealist films, absolutely beautiful! Juxtapositions within the film, a random example being the use of non-diegetic sound and yet it sometimes forms an association with the wider fabric of the narrative. That itself puts into question the definition of non-diegetic sound. The film is like a walk in a labyrinth where repeated encounters with passages which we have already passed, and yet not finding the way out.. alain-robbe grillet seems to relish in this game....
