New York City natives Baltimore Clark (Bill Boyd), Dutch Herman (Robert Armstrong) and Skeets O'Riley (James Gleason) spend their days chasing a local beauty, but, as World War I nears, the friends are called into the Navy. All three are assigned to the same ship, which is spotted and boarded by Germans. To buy himself time, Dutch poses as a German captain and learns that the enemy is plotting an offensive. The three pals then try to think of a way to alert the Navy of the upcoming attacks.
