Audience Member LOL, the funniest 1.5 hours ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member The director of a failing summer camp decides to invite campers from ten years ago for a free weekend event, hoping that he can trick them into fixing up the place and also get their families to provide them some financial support. The boys and girls return to the camp and play pranks on each other and try to score with the other campers and the staff... "Summer Camp" came apparently out a month before the Bill Murray classic "Meatballs" having the slightly similar summer camp theme, but being a hell of a lot better than the former film. This is just a pretty poor excuse of a stereotypical raunchy coming of age summer camp movie with the usual bad jokes, sexist point of view on women, nude scenes, pranks, bad acting, bad lighting! (the worst I have seen I reckon), hardly any plot and a not very cohesive structure. "Summer Camp" was for sure partly the inspiration for the ok "Wet Hot American Summer" (2001), but that hardly change my opinion about this film. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member What a sorry ass excuse for a movie. So badly acted, so numbingly dumb. Awful in every way. It is just an attempt to capitalize on the success of Animal House. Food fights, toga parties and a John Belushi type character. Ugh! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
