Michael Pappas (Peter Gallagher) and his girlfriend, Cathy (Daryl Hannah), are enjoying the white sand beaches of a Greek island as well as the freewheeling nature of the locals. When Michael meets Lina (Valerie Quennessen), who is in Greece from Paris doing archaeological work, he is enamored with the beautiful foreigner. Cathy, unhappy about Lina getting close to Michael, confronts the woman -- only to be unexpectedly wooed by her charms as well.

This is the best vacation movie of my lifetime. So much so that I went to Santorini and rented a "Villa" right next to this one for 6 weeks a few years after we saw this movie, in the mid 1980's and it was cheap. Real cheap. The thing I hear from others is the storyline is silly, or even stupid and boring. They say the acting and storyline is "Eh" but the scenery is "Awesome". That's exactly what a vacation is supposed to be. Silly and fun and "Awesome". Santorini was so different back then. Carefree, Rustic, relaxing and even primitive while staying in a CaveHouse. The movie inspires to disconnect from the world and have an experience that all young people should have. No A/C. No phone. No TV. No room service. No rules. The last chance to be carefree before a life of jobs, family and responsibilities.

This is a terrible movie. The dialogue is sincerely atrocious. You won't be able to stop watching it, and you will want to leave for Greece immediately. The photography is gorgeous. The locations are gorgeous. The people are gorgeous. It is a total fantasy. It sucks. I've probably watched it a hundred times. This is my shame.

A great primes... but kinda dated now. This movie needs to be remade. In 1982 they had to be conservative, but now they could be much more open with a threesome's sexuality.
