This is the best vacation movie of my lifetime. So much so that I went to Santorini and rented a "Villa" right next to this one for 6 weeks a few years after we saw this movie, in the mid 1980's and it was cheap. Real cheap. The thing I hear from others is the storyline is silly, or even stupid and boring. They say the acting and storyline is "Eh" but the scenery is "Awesome". That's exactly what a vacation is supposed to be. Silly and fun and "Awesome". Santorini was so different back then. Carefree, Rustic, relaxing and even primitive while staying in a CaveHouse. The movie inspires to disconnect from the world and have an experience that all young people should have. No A/C. No phone. No TV. No room service. No rules. The last chance to be carefree before a life of jobs, family and responsibilities.

Written and directed by Randal Kleiser with young couple of Michael (Peter Gallagher) and Cathy (Darryl Hannah) just arriving to the Greek Islands beaches and so forth as a graduation present. Cathy is an inspired photographer and while doing that Michael becomes infatuated with another young lady Lina (Valérie Quennessen) while he was skinny dipping off another isolated resort. Once Cathy becomes aware of this affair she becomes accustomed to her as well.

With its wonderfully energizing soundtrack, beautiful landscapes of Greek islands, settlements, handsome leads and its provocatively alluring menage e trois theme, it's a nice escape from your reality into a 'dream-world'.
