Mindy J I got to see this being the only person in the theater and it was awesome! The acting was great from everyone, the jokes were funny but there was also touching moments, there was genuine tension where I was legit wondering what was going to happen and I never saw the twist coming. My favorite scene is the end, but I won't spoil it. I'm just so glad I saw this movie, I really hope more people see it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/02/23 Full Review Adrian M It was everything you wanted movie, funny, touching, had jump scares. Just fabulous all around. Im not easily touched but there was a part that almost had me crying. Dont want to ruin it so see it and Im sure youll figure out which part it was. Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News It’s low budget, but rates high in the laugh count. Could well become a cult classic. Rated: 3/4 Apr 12, 2023 Full Review Michael Szymanski Mike Szymanski (Medium) This is a campy romp that won't have you screaming, but squealing (and not like a pig) but with delight. Rated: 8/10 May 15, 2023 Full Review Carla Hay Culture Mix Summoning Sylvia is a sassy and hilarious séance comedy, told from a gay male perspective. Travis Coles and Frankie Grande are scene-stealing delights. The unpredictable jokes and gags make this film appealing to people who like comedy made for adults. Apr 23, 2023 Full Review John Paul King Washington Blade A rollicking, raunchy and very gay piece of fluff... but it has a lot more imagination and ambition behind it than meets the eye. Apr 14, 2023 Full Review David-Elijah Nahmod Bay Area Reporter Co-writers and co-directors Wesley Taylor and Alex Wyse have done a nice job in fashioning this horror/comedy/social commentary mash-up. Summoning Sylvia is definitely worth a look. Apr 13, 2023 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews A zany, spooky, horror, gay comedy, that's silly and chilly.
