Basically to some it up without giving too much away, this is another movie that emphasizes on the ignorance of humanity (particularly the younger generation) and how most of us do things that we think are harmless fun at the time, but can have a greater impact on someone, say with a serious mental illness. This movie does an excellent job at getting its point across, and I myself, having gone through similar emotional experiences, completely understand the main characters struggle.

Beautiful snapshots of the island. Other than that, it's groundhog day for a creepy doctor who we never get to know enough about to feel sympathy for. Completely dragged and leaves you waiting for the payoff of watching the endless boredom and is completely anticlimactic. College student filmmaking

Watched this last year and it's one of those films that stays with you. One of my top indie film recommendations. It's the kind of film Thomas Mann would make, reminded me of Tonio Kröger and Death in Venice, the kind of discomfort of looking on from the fringes. I think it definitely resonates with you if you are older.
