Sean Axmaker Stream on Demand The 14th DCU Animated Original Movie, adapted by Joe Kelly from the comic book he created in 2001 and directed by Michael Chang, is a morality tale for the post-September 11, 2001 world, with The Elite declaring war on bad guys. Jul 5, 2022 Full Review Jeffrey Lyles Lyles' Movie Files With better visuals, it would easily be among the Top 5 DC animated films, but dubious designs keep it just out of elite class status. Rated: 8/10 Jan 31, 2014 Full Review Rob Vaux Sci-Fi Movie Page Great story or bad art? You can't get one without the other in Superman vs. The Elite and that's a crying shame... Rated: 2.5/4 Jun 25, 2012 Full Review Jeffrey M. Anderson Common Sense Media Like All-Star Superman before it, SUPERMAN VS. THE ELITE is an exceptional animated superhero movie. It's violent and has some adult subject matter, but it also has a strong, thoughtful story and worthwhile messages. Rated: 4/5 Jun 21, 2012 Full Review Peter Canavese Groucho Reviews The conflict between The Elite's way of doing things and Superman's sets up a "might makes right" allegory wrestling with national and global politics as well as, on a more personal level, civilian tolerance of capital punishment. [Blu-ray] Rated: 3/4 Jun 13, 2012 Full Review Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed A forgettable Superman vehicle and one I won't be re-visiting any time soon. Anderson O Exhilarating Superman animated movie. This one pushes him to his greatest limits to use All of his resources and natural gifts he’s learn on earth to outwit the Elite. Makes for some of the modern classic visualizations of animated Superman even by today’s standards. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/04/24 Full Review Cask and Crow P The one is ok at best. I like that they went with a some what unknown team to introduce but the art was terrible in my opinion. The story is ok but it drags on for me. The overall message is good but overall falls short for me. Its an ok watch but there are better animated movies from DC Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/24 Full Review Soumili G One of the best Superman animated films.
