Surrogate was a suspenseful plot driven story with lots of twists. It kept me on the edge of my seat all night, with a couple of jump scares in-between. I would definitely watch it again as it has kept me thinking about certain aspects of the storyline. Great cast Great film!

What I Watched Tonight

Whilst not wholly original - the film does lean heavily on its influences - Surrogate is an effective and sometimes excellent low-budget horror movie that blends the supernatural with mystery and thriller aspects. An assured feature debut from Willing.

Doing a lot with very little, Willing demonstrates a knack for deploying horror film chestnuts to great effect – sometimes subtly, sometimes not-so-subtly. Note to the squeamish: brace yourselves for a confronting scene that features blood. Lots of blood.
