See more Feb 7 Even after the veneer of nostalgia wears away, I actually really enjoyed this movie. Rogers’ character added a lot of funny moments that I enjoyed as an adult more than I did as a child. The voice acting was well done and the songs were very enjoyable. Yes, it’s old, and yes, it didn’t have the budget of a Disney movie, but I think that adds to its charm. Odette is a good character that stands her ground and doesn’t let things just happen to her. Her animal friends are funny and enjoyable, and the voice acting there is obviously great with the likes of John Cleese among the ranks. The villain was pretty well done, considering his slightly goofy visual design. He had a banger of a villain song with No More Mr. Nice Guy and I hated him an appropriate amount for his villainy. Overall, it’s enjoyable for the time period in which it was made, and it serves as a time capsule for fairy tales retold in classic 2D animation.
