It’s all rather predictable, but the world-building is distinctive and the animation is pleasingly lush. Go to Full Review

Unlike the greatest Pixar films that the director, Nathan Greno, and his three writers are trying to emulate, any sharper messaging gets quickly cast aside for a fairly rote buddy comedy quest narrative. Go to Full Review

It'll pop for family audiences and bring a bit of that cutesy charm that Pixar and DreamWorks of old used to bring to the table. Go to Full Review

Fast-moving but sometimes confusing, this gorgeously animated fantasy features imaginative world-building and striking visuals that remain fascinating for viewers of all ages. Go to Full Review

A simple adventure, this animal buddy movie follows the genre's tropes perfectly without straying too far, but precisely because of its simplicity, it works where it needs to. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Marco L @decatur555 2h Swapped is a pleasant and easy-to-watch family animated film. It does not offer anything especially new, but it works well enough as a colorful adventure for children built around the classic idea of literally putting yourself in someone else’s place. The body-swap premise is familiar, and the story is often predictable, but the visual world has real charm: the forest, the hybrid creatures and the colorful natural setting are more imaginative than the plot itself. The message about empathy, prejudice, cooperation and learning to understand those who seem different is simple, but effective for a young audience. It could have used more humor, more emotional force and a little more narrative originality, but it is still a nice, harmless and entertaining family film. See more Bill H @RT59114294 1d The creativity begins and ends with the designs of the plant-animal hybrids, and as much as I love his work, Tracy Morgan's voice does not fit in this movie at all. Fine for little kids, but almost no ambition or originality. Show your kids "Hoppers" instead. See more Vinicius M @Vini_Monteiro 2d "Swapped" (2026) is a frustrating Netflix release that promises innovation but delivers algorithm-driven mediocrity. While the animation boasts stunning, photorealistic environments, it fails to build a cohesive world. The ecological realism clashes with unexplained magic, quickly breaking immersion. The body-swap comedy suffers from stiff character models, forcing the humor to rely entirely on voice acting. Unfortunately, the main cast lacks chemistry and sounds disconnected, even if the supporting stars bring brief, wasted comedic relief. Director Nathan Greno struggles with tonal whiplash, shifting awkwardly between serious drama and slapstick. Furthermore, the script is a predictable, cliché-ridden mess with zero tension and a preachy, condescending message. Hampered by intrusive music and poor sound mixing, the film ultimately feels like a visually safe, sanitized product designed purely to keep kids distracted. See more Rally F @RT77550750 2d I watch a lot of animations and i usually prefer the Disney classics, but this is the most heartwarming movie I have watched so far and it’s my new favourite! I definitely recommend it! See more Christian W @Christian534 2d It does have great themes, great characters, great animation and music, great worldbuilding and a great plot. The villain is kind of generic and unoriginal (basically he’s Scar), some of the character arcs are forced, the humor was unfunny, the cast didn’t fit with the characters. See more Lukas M. @Bird_33 3d Very fun movie, would be great for families See more Read all reviews
