Biel S Still the best tadeo jones movie out of the three. I just loove the story and characters. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review quinto a This film is very nice and funny. It is perfect to watch with friends. In this movie there's a lot of plot twists. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Decent enough watch, can't say I'd ever watch it again, and can only recommend to a younger audience. This is half "ugh, a kids movie", and half "man, this is dark for a kids movie". The opening scene is a murder, there is a undead mummy character, and (for what looks like a Nickelodeon animation) the bad guys are firing guns, and kidnapping characters at threat of life. That said the animation and writing isn't so bad, and the characters are interesting, if annoying. The whole thing also feels like a Happy Madison plot where "schlubby guy" wins over a successful, beautiful woman. There just isn't a lot here to get behind, but its got just enough to be entertaining. Maybe it just wasn't for me. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Excellent animated adventure story and follow-up to the original. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Between 2.5 and 3. Although action is quite brainless, the opportunity to see some of the nicest places in the world with a good image and nice characters is enough. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member I watched this with my 10 year old and he awarded the stars. It's ok. Some decent gags in an otherwise fairly mundane script. Uneven in tone too. Some iiffy judgment calls in relation to race, women and death, particularly for little kids. The music is terrible. I can see why it didn't appear in my local cinema. Oddly, it did run trailers with scenes that didn't appear in the actual movie. I actually preferred the animation in the credits to the actual film. It's OK for a TV watch. But if I'd paid twenty quid to go the cinema, I'd be very disappointed. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Tara Brady Irish Times A bumbling excavator is not the worst idea, even if the new film fails to go the full Clouseau. Rated: 2/5 Feb 16, 2018 Full Review Peter Bradshaw Guardian The storytelling, characterisation and animation are all mediocre. Rated: 1/5 Feb 9, 2018 Full Review Kevin Maher Times (UK) It's all very TV. And probably not worth the trip. Rated: 2/5 Feb 9, 2018 Full Review Lara Ben-Ameur Espinof It seems to conquer the youngest public, and that has its merits. [Full Review in Spanish] Jul 27, 2019 Full Review Ross Miller The National (Scotland) A stepping stone for its young target audience who deserve bigger and better things, and despite its lively pacing, this is a fairly trying animation to get through. Rated: 2/5 Sep 10, 2018 Full Review Edward Porter Sunday Times (UK) It's the general mediocrity -- plastic-looking characters, clichd jokes -- that should deter you.
