This French black comedy follows Aunt Danielle (Tsilla Chelton), an elderly widow who, since losing her husband, has focused on making everyone around her suffer. The bitter septuagenarian regularly abuses her housekeeper and, after moving in with her great-nephew and his wife, goes about making their lives miserable. When the family goes on vacation, leaving Danielle to be looked after by a willful au pair (Isabelle Nanty), the old woman finds an unexpected respect for her new caretaker.

The movies too often sentimentalize old people. They are either wise or childlike, and in either case they seem to have outgrown the weaknesses of youth. Tatie Danielle hasn't.

A very engaging dark comedy that simultaneouslydelights and horrifies with its portrait of the worst character traits a human can have. In another life, Tatie must have been a serial killer and thoroughly enjoyed herself while wreaking havoc upon other people's lives. A must see before you die.

This film is a truly dark film. The film follows an old woman, who uses and manipulates her own family, to get what she wants. The characters are hilarious, the acting especially from Tatie Danielle is amazing,you'll be laughing the whole way through!
