Nikki Baughan Roll Credits The Tattooist is an interesting, neat little thriller that effectively combines ancient customs with modern film-making techniques. Audience Member 180629: This film takes on two of my passions, one being the horror genre the other art in general; tattooing in particular. It's a fun idea, especially considering the lesser recognized, for North Americans, Samoan perspective. Though featuring not exactly the best acting or storyline, this film does offer a few catchy special effects, about the only reason I'd ever want to look back upon it. Worth watching if you're a horror aficionado but don't expect to be thrilled often. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member The subject matter makes for a fairly unique storyline for a horror, although its an average production at best with a plot work through that requires much more pace. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Love Jason Behr. The movie was much better than expected! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member I can se how someone would find this to be cliche, and make fun of it, but I personally loved it. It was heartwarming (as heartwarming as a horror movie could be) and I really got into the characters. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member This would have scored higher with me if the incidental characters weren't made of cheese, the young Maori kid (who's supposed to be Samoan) who needs fast cars and load hip hop to channel spirits is especially shit. It's kinda like a Samoan/New Zealand The Grudge. Apparently alot of the Samoans (and the few Maori playing Samoans) don't speak very good Samoan - which is annoying. At one point you see a small amount of boobage... Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member boring boring boring boring boring boring boring........
