Some impressive scenes and colorful directing, but overall a frustrating watch. We never learn why Antonia is so infatuated with Tchaikovsky or why she so obsessively insists on staying married to him against all sensible advice. It’s great to see the movie focus on her and largely ignore her megastar husband, but lack of context and characterization make it hard to sympathize with her for long. She becomes a classic annoying stalker and the movie loses its drama.
