Nanette (Doris Day) has dreams of Broadway, but lacks the funds to stage the musical her boyfriend, Larry (Billy De Wolfe), has written. After extracting a promise from him to make her the star of the show, Nanette turns to her wealthy uncle (S.Z. Sakall) for the money. He agrees to lend her the $25,000, but on one condition -- that for an entire day she must answer "No" to any and all questions. Though she readily agrees, Nanette soon realizes the bet is easier made than won.

Karen S Great Movie dealing with the The Stock Market Crash and a Musical that is having a hard time finding supporters to make happen. Doris Day and Cast are Triumphant!⭐⭐⭐⭐ & 1/2...📽📺❤🎼💃🎶🕺🎬 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/23/24 Full Review Bright and breezy musical , where Doris Day shines with excellent support from Gordon Mac Rae and Gene Nelson. The singing and dancing is dazzling. The enjoyment index is high. There are sweeet and funny scenes all throughout the film. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/24 Full Review steve d There isn't a lot to it. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Warner Bros. semi-remake of NO, NO NANETTE is a hodgepodge of songs from the hit show, plus other old tunes; everything is pleasant and uninspiring. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member A light fluffy Doris Day technicolour remake of the Broadway musical No No Nanette. The only strange thing about this film is that for a film that is set in 1929, everyone looks like they stepped out of 1950, from hairstyles to costumes. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member It's light and enjoyable, such as most Doris Day films. The title song is the brightest spot of this movie. This is the kind of movie you watch with the family, or if you're bored and need something to cheer you up. A nice little gem. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Read all reviews
