Ted Bundy (Michael Reilly Burke) is a seemingly well-adjusted law student with a bright future ahead. Intelligent and good-looking, Ted has little trouble earning the affections of Lee (Boti Ann Bliss), a lovely woman who's willing to look beyond and accept her fiancé's sometimes lascivious sexual appetites. But little can prepare Lee for the brutal crimes Ted is about to commit: a six-state crime spree comprising over 30 homicides and hundreds of rapes.

Critics Consensus

Ted Bundy wastes an impressive performance from Michael Reilly Rourke on an exploitative film devoid of any social context or depth.

Sean D Hands down the best movie about Ted Bundy. Saw this first when I was about 15 , this was in the days before Internet was big, and true crime documentaries weren't everywhere. Now obviously ide heard the term serial killer etc. But man this was a mind blowing eye opener at the time into just how crazy some of these people are. Now I guessed it would have generally bad reviews , and being called exploitive etc. But that's not what this movie is about atall. It must be crazy difficult to make a movie with the central character who's leading every scene being this disgusting serial killer. And keep him interesting enough, and making the film entertaining still to keep viewers watching. And this movie does that pretty perfectly really. It doesn't try an make excuses for him by showing some sad scene from his childhood, or even in the scenes with his partner and her child you soon quickly see his darker side show. Overall I think this a great performance, and grat direction from Matthew Bright Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/28/23 Full Review Amy A In my opinion this movie was more of a B slasher film with no plot. It made me physically ill with its 90 minutes of utter GORE! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/01/23 Full Review Rogue 5 100% could have been better Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/13/23 Full Review justin t This was probably done by a bloke fresh from receiving a degree in film studies and decided to make a shocking film. It is not that shocking because like all of the films from the same time that involves hideous sexual attacks it is told from the point of view of the serial killer. This means that it is very hard to emotionally connect with the victims and you almost connect with the serial killer more. This is the wrong way around. This is not scary at all but it is interesting and holds your attention. The musical score is amazing. With a little more tension or fear or a more interesting ending would make this a good film. More emotion needed. This is not graphically violent but it is violent through sexual violations and implication mainly. Don't fight to see this. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member It is an extremely romanticized version of the real story: in fact if you already know something about the event, you can clearly see the discrepancies between the truth of the murders and the movie. Even worse, If you're not aware if the events, you get a completely distorted idea about the sequence of events and the ruthless, remorseless and cruel killer. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Boring garbage. You're better off YouTubing Ted Bundy if you'd like segments with ACCURATE information.
