Sherilyn Connelly Village Voice The film's tone is all over the map, with weird bursts of casual racism toward its ethnic supporting cast and unnecessarily explicit sex scenes that approach a The Room level of ickiness. Apr 5, 2016 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film Superficially -- and this is a story very much concerned with the superficial -- this is a light, breezy affair with sexually assertive characters who know what they want and have a great time together. Rated: 3/5 Apr 7, 2016 Full Review David Noh Film Journal International The rom-com blight continues with this white-bread-in-every-way contemplation of modern relationships. Apr 7, 2016 Full Review Mike McGranaghan Aisle Seat If you're of a certain age, it may speak to you. If you're beyond that age, it'll most likely seem innocuous, but also very, very obvious. Audience Member The film is not completely bad, though. Even if I would not recommend it, it has its good parts: after the least inspired 'before the mirror' scene I've seen in the last 20 years (just few minutes after the beginning of the flick), Grant Rosenmeyer redeems himself with a convincing performance, and so does the whole cast. Ryan Sage's work (editing and direction) seems OK and the same ingredients in a less confused recipe would have produced a different result. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member It's a surprising fresh and well played movie in a genre full of clichés and bad examples. Its light and amusing but manages to build up a coherent story and charm the viewer in the process. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Had my heart set on them getting bk together sadly not can't all be a happy ending Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
