Barbara O'Neill (Barbara Stanwyck) is a poor dance hall girl who catches the eye of the wealthy Bradley Carlton (Ricardo Cortez). However, Barbara has feelings for her neighbor Eddie Miller (Monroe Owsley). After Eddie proposes to her, she says yes, and even secures a job for him from Bradley. Soon, though, Eddie has racked up deep gambling debts and even been unfaithful. Barbara continues to support him, but after he lashes out in jealousy she thinks maybe she should have chosen Bradley.

Steve D Stanwyck gives her normal great performance and the story is solid. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Barbara Stanwyck is a dancehall girl who dances for money. She finds what she thinks is a good man, but he ends up being a bit of a weasel and no good. That's pretty much the film in a nutshell. It's really only of interest because of Stanwyck. Probably the weakest film I've seen her in, but I won't blame her since this was one pretty early in her career.
