Audience Member This used to be one of my favorite movies in college. I watched it every sumer at least twice, for four years, and I showed it to all my friends. I still think it's funny, but after watching it so many years later... this did not age well. Maybe it's just the over sensitive nature of the way we judge things nowadays, but the sexism and "mild" homophobia of the movie is a bit off putting. Jensen Ackles steals every scene he's in, it was a lot of fun to see him in this again, after Soldier Boy. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member I think it is a really great movie, but the fact he (Priestly) had to change himself to ask out Tish. It kinda ruined the greatness it had build. On another note was it some relatable characters and the comic lightened it up. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Discovered this one in a reader group I run on Facebook and, you guessed it, it was five bucks on Amazon, so I grabbed it. So, first off, Jensen?! I didn't even recognize him on the cover! He was the best (with Trucker coming in a close second), but here are my issues with the character. He got hit once by that douche bag, Tad. Once. While Danneel's character was hit multiple times, and yet, she had to help him up?! And then he had to be saved by Trucker?! What are you doing to the hero of the film? And then he had to change himself at the end in order for Danneel's character to like him and go out with him. 👎🏻 Dockers and button downs do not make the man! They did my boy dirty. BUT, it was such a joy to see Jensen here and he really did nail that role. All in all, the movie was fun and, though it came out in 2007, it had a total 90's movie feel. Personally, the main storyline about Piper's adopted baby actually brought the film down. It didn't feel necessary, and every time it got brought up again, I just wanted to get back to the misfits at the sandwich shop finding love and showing what loyalty really means. I think what killed this film and why it's not more remembered than it is, is because of the title. It confused both me and my fiancée. By just reading the title and nothing else, you imagine some sort of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids type deal. They also never call a hoagie a hero in the movie, which makes it even more of a head scratcher. I get what they were trying to do, but I imagine it must have hurt them a great deal. A worthy film for a quiet night at home. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Simple, enjoyable film with likable characters. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review farah r There's something about these 2000's comedies that's so enjoyable no matter how dumb they are. Ten Inch Hero is of course a half-witted movie but some decent performances and a not-so-bad script actually make it okay. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review don s New girl in town walks into a sandwich shop and comes out with a job. She automatically is fast friends with everyone who works there, including the hot one who gives her a hard time to begin with. New girl moved to this town hoping to find the daughter she gave up for adoption at 15 (she's now 23) based on the first names of a child she saw in an article on young artists and her father, just knowing this was her daughter. I tried to like this. It fits the bill as a chick flick - all the problems these young ladies have are not very interesting to guys and the resolutions are downright unbelievable in every situation. Bleh. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
