Audience Member Distant Memories boast a beautiful visual style new to the series' universe, good voice acting and character development between the titular character and a certain blue haired space pirate that is sure to please many fans. The films one weak point however is it's time management. Things seem to happen just a little too quickly within the film with solutions coming a little too easy for Washu and the others. The character interactions however help ease some of the dissapoinment with Ayeka and Ryoko's short jabs to understanding one another being a highlight. Overall the film is a definate must for Tenchi fans and worth viewing. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Much more sexual than the other movies. And you can tell there is a slightly higher quality in the animation. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member I hate to say this about a Tenchi movie, but this is by far the worst Tenchi movie. The reason I say this is because it is slow as hell. And very depressing. But I do admire it for two things. The art style is beautiful. And gives the characters a new and realistic look, instead of being so cartoony and all. And then their is the relationship between Haruka and Tenchi. I think its the highlight of the film. The way they interact is very sweet and realistic. But yet it ends up worse near the end. Which is sad cause you want Tenchi to be finally happy. But either way its a decent ending. But all in all I would have to say skip this one unless your a fan or you are in the mood for a sad movie.
