Steve D Besides the solid acting there isn't enough to it. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/29/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a perfect example of judging a film in its historical context rather than by current standards. This movie is an ode to lily white America; simple-minded cultural norms of American romance and family life during WWII. The dialogue, scene structure and direction are strictly "home-front" propaganda. But man, Ginger Rodgers was hot!! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Served an emotional purpose during the war, but is an overly melodramatic piece of cinema stapled together with propaganda statements throughout. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member It's plainly one of those sympathy women pictures make during the second World War. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Total WWII propaganda. The interaction between the women is fun, but it gets old pretty quickly. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member So sad. Ginger was a much better actress than she gets credit for.
