Tricia M Dec 19 Though a “ Propaganda” movie some of the underlying messages have definitely broken through to the 21st Century. Manya’s speech on the death of democracy, I am sure at the time written, was never thought to be a warning to future generations. This movie is an ode to lily white America; simple-minded cultural norms of American romance and family life during WWII. The dialogue, scene structure and direction are strictly "home-front" propaganda. But man, Ginger Rodgers was hot!!
