Steve D Entertaining for Colbert alone. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/07/24 Full Review Audience Member Thia was Claudette's second to last theatrical feature and if this was the quality of scripts she was being offered at that time it's no wonder she stayed away six years between this and Parrish. First of all she belongs in some urbane urban setting not the Old West and try though she might she is out of place here. Additionally she and Barry Sullivan, always a dull leading man no matter his costar, go together like oil and water. The script is ordinary and the direction not terribly exciting plus the film is soft and fuzzy with overbright color. If you like Claudette or westerns it's okay but don't expect anything above the routine. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Fairly routines story of struggle against the bad men running the western town. There's some overacting involved, but the plot is interesting enough. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Certainly one of Claudette Colbert's most unmemorable movies, but her presence and professionalism in the film boost it up barely above average. Interesting plot concept not given a very good film treatment. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member 5.5/10.
