Stephanie Zacharek Salon.com The picture is obviously a satire, but it has no sharpness, no sense of daring. Oct 7, 2006 Full Review Jessica Winter Time Out Aiming at all targets and hitting none of them, the movie is as harmless and inconsequential as a candy cigarette. Jun 24, 2006 Full Review Mark Kermode Guardian There's enough bite in the dialogue and performances to provoke a hacking cough of approval, and the laugh-out-loud moments are many, not least in scenes featuring Rob Lowe's unctuous Hollywood agent. Jun 24, 2006 Full Review Diana Tuova Spotlight on Film Thank You for Smoking may have an uneven plot and its emotional message does go astray, but it is still a thought-provoking satire on the corporate world and human dilemmas within. Rated: 4/5 Aug 9, 2024 Full Review Michael Clark Epoch Times If we were to eliminate and outlaw everything that rubbed someone else’s morals the wrong way, we’d never be able to leave our homes, watch R-rated movies, or consume anything but tap water and a vegan diet. Rated: 4.5/5 Oct 17, 2023 Full Review Rob Gonsalves Rob's Movie Vault A fast, bubbly satire that does full justice to the addictive Christopher Buckley novel it’s based on. Rare T There’s not much to criticize about this movie. It’s witty, well-written, audacious, and attentive to detail. The actors know their characters well. A few scenes seem like they’re just there to fill enough time to get past the 90-minute mark, but other than that, Thank You for Smoking checks off all the requirements of a successful production. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/10/24 Full Review Rob A Funny yet occasionally serious, I thoroughly enjoyed the film. The cast is first rate - which always helps - but so was the script, and Aaron Eckhart (nobody should be that good looking btw) absolutely shines. Thumbs up! Aaron Eckhart gives a good performance and the rest of the cast is good in their roles too. This film is funny, entertaining and has a decent length, worth a watch Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/02/23 Full Review Read all reviews
