Steve D It all gets old really fast. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/07/23 Full Review Audience Member good romantic drama/comedy Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member That Wonderful Urge is a remake of Love Is News but has definitely lost most if not all of the zip of the original. Gene Tierney looks great and is as charming as the reworked character allows but the whole thing just doesn't work very well. The supporting cast here is also not as good with only the great Lucile Watson being noteworthy and she is criminally underused. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a remake of Love is News (1937). This time his co-star is Gene Tierney rather than Loretta Young. I love the Count de Guyon character that appears in both films. Here it's Reginald Gardiner, while George Sanders has the role in Love is News. In both films Ty proves he was adept at light comedy. Since he was known to be quite the prankster, it's certainly not surprising! Love the scene where he and Gene "reenact" the time Mother Tyler shot the government agent for Gene's socialite friends ("Whoops! We busted our beads!").
