Audience Member I thought it was a great movie, edorcyŕt Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member For a made for TV film it isn't that bad, there is a lot worse. It is slow at some parts and the story is basic but it is perfectly fine for what it is! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/29/15 Full Review Audience Member This is a made for TV movie that stole the plot from Jaws. Most of the story is just a soap opera about a small town whose main industry is fishing. The fishermen are attacked by a giant squid protecting her young. The problem is that real giant squid never come to the surface and live in the deep oceans. No human has ever seen a living giant squid. They are the main food supply for the sperm whale and a few dead ones have floated to the surface or have been caught in fishing nets. Only recently the Japanese managed to get a TV camera deep enough to film a living giant squid. The special effects for the squid in this movie are really bad. Disney did a better job in 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. The soap opera story is lame. It's about a dying town with corrupt politicians. The hero has to battle the corruption to save the squid but in the end has to kill it to save his friends and family. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Entertaining TV movie Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member All these stars are for WP. It was a good little flic. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Not as good as Jaws. But way better than other movies with the same theme. The movie isn't as good as Peter Benchley's book, but it's still good, well worth watching if you liked JAWS. Even if you haven't seen that movie I'd recommend this one. it's good entertainment.
