steve d The premise and actors are a lot of fun. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member another OK svc comedy Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Pleasant film set in a place rarely seen on the silver screen (1941 Abyssinia). The comedy aspect of it is slightly off but the humanity of the character compensates for this lack of humour. One is left wondering how he would react to being thrown in such an hostile environment. Also worth seeing if nothing else for the cameo of a bunch of Beni Amar warriors who make Clint Eastwood look like a sisi Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Each British should see to understand Italians and vice versa. Perfect interactions between Niven and Sordi. One of my preferred movie of Alberto Sordi (I sugest also Finche c'e' guerra c'e' speranza, Il marchese del Grillo e Riusciranno i nostri eroi a ritrovare il loro amico scomparso in Africa?). Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Wow, I saw this 45 years ago and can't believe that it is mentioned here. I have seen it for years, but it's a lot of fun. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Great fun for a war movie. Interaction between David Niven and Alberto Sordi is a comical clash of cultures/enemies Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
