Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member It's all about the test of woman's forgivingness, social responsibility, conjugal camaraderie and overall, self-esteem. A woman goes through a tumultous time after her husband traveling with his mistress, was badly injured in a car accident. She grapples with the shock from the revelation of his clandestine affair; at the same time facing innuendos coming from his family and friends circle. Will she forgive him? or will she be able to hold her emotional outburst? Poignant portrayal of extra-marital extravaganza -- "Dosar" is blessed with impeccable acting (Konkona is sensational in her screen presence), smart story line, and dazzling direction. Compelling Companion !!! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member The epitome of perfection that Bengali movies are made of. True emotions, real life situations and traumas with real people...not heroes. The beautiful poetry by Rabindranath Tagore with whihc the movie began and the poetry towards the end by Sugata Gangopadhyay, made the icing that the movie needed. A very common subject about infidelity with an awkwardness with which is it revealed, is worth watching because of the outstanding performances by Konkana and Prasenjit and of course the ever famous director. If you like Bengali movies and the stuff they are made of, this one must be watched. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member An absolutely masterful film about infdelity and how different people look, cope and grow into & out of it. Writing about this film could create an article on its own. The fantastic black and white cinematography, the evoking use of poetry, the haunting beauty of the opening shot of a woman standing in a balcony singing a tagore song moments before dying, the acting of Kankona and her struggle between roles of dutiful wife and betrayed angry women, the clever script which builds multiple angle of infidelity....the list goes on. Magical! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Read all reviews
