MFB Critics Monthly Film Bulletin Routine Norman Wisdom vehicle, the only innovations being the use of colour, and the absence of a heroine who will see through her beau's clumsiness and regard him with loyal, loving admiration. Jan 31, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member painfully bad;i didn't laughed except for the beginning (whic was promising);horrible, very bad satire Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member I love the first ten minutes of this film, when Norman is getting up very early in the morning, he falls down stairs get stuck in doors, and blows a hole in the floor, it is Norman at his best. Then everything goes down hill, the plot is predictable and flat, and it's just not that interesting. The acting looks a little silly and this being Norman's first colour film makes it date even more than the black and white films for some reason. This film looks tired and by the end I was tired and could not wait for the credits to role. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Great Sunday afternoon film with the kids whilst it rained all day...........Mr Grimsdale...... Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the better Wisdom films - some quality comedy gold and some touching moments with his horse. The fire scene starts off great but is rather drawn out. But Jerry Desmonde plays a good nasty man though! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member For me the very best Norman Wisdom comedy - the usual components are all there - Mr Grimsdale (Chapman) and arch-enemy Jerry Desmonde. Still funny more than half a century later! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Wisdom in colour is a joy to see, althought it is the same old antics under a different scenario.
