Audience Member This action-packed movie features several episodes of the 1966 TV series edited together and released as a feature film. The story is about Britt Reid played by Van Williams who as the masked vigilante known as The green Hornet fights alongside his Far East martial-arts partner Kato played by the late Bruce Lee who is Britt's weapons specialist. On police records, they are criminals but they are heroes in order to get to the real criminal gangs and take them down. The real trouble arrives when Britt's secretary for the Daily Sentinel, Lenore Case played by Wende Wagner is kidnapped by henchmen who work for the evil District Attorney Frank P. Scanlon and both Britt and Kato are stunned, they both suit up and drive off in their car, the Black Beauty. This movie featuring compiled scenes of the cancelled TV show is a solid feature film. The Green Hornet (1974) gets a 8.9/10. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member The best show ever! Well, very good, nevertheless. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Another challenge for the Green Hornet his aide Kato and their rolling arsenal the Black Beauty is awaiting them. On police records a wanted criminal Green Hornet is really Britt Reid owner publisher of the Daily Sentinel his dual identity known only to his secretary and to the district attorney. And now to protect the rights and lives of decent citizens rides the Green Hornet. stars Van Williams, Bruce Lee, Wende Wagner and Lloyd Gough. directed by WIliam Beaudine. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Yes I watched this movie as I generally like modern comic adaptions. This however, was close to annoying. It is really hard to get a good comic so wrong, but they managed. If you think of it as persiflage it may have some credit, but even this is not convincing - a real pity. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member THIS REVIEW IS FOR BOTH GREEN HORNET FILMS STARRING BRUCE LEE. The Green Hornet (1974) This Film Is A Compilation Of Episodes From The 1966 TV Series, First The Green Hornet & Kato Must Take On A Group Of Wealthy Murderers, Then Take On A Mad Scientist With An H-Bomb, Before Finally Taking On A Chinese Street Gang. This Is The Role Which Got Lee Noticed By Director Wei Lo, Who Cast Lee As His Lead In Lee's First Film "The Big Boss", Which Became An International Success. Fury Of The Dragon (1976) Four More Episodes Released As A Feature Film As A Second Green Hornet Tribute To Bruce Lee. Episodes Comprise: Trouble For Prince Charming, Secret Of The Sally Bell, The Ray Is For Killing & Bad Belt On A 459-Silent. Although The Films Focus Is On These Four Episodes A Total Of 15 Episodes From The 26 Were Used For Additional Fight Sequences, These Aditional Scenes However Were Badly Edited Together. These Episodes Seem To Be Fan Favourites Which Feature. Fury Of The Dragon Is The Better Film Of The Two. FLIXSTER DOES'NT SEEM TO HAVE FURY OF THE DRAGON ON IT'S SYSTEM (AS OF 30/01/2011), THIS IS WHY BOTH ARE REVIEWED HERE THE GREEN HORNET: 2.5 STARS FURY OF THE DRAGON: 3 STARS OVERALL RATING: 3 STARS Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting to see Bruce in an American TV show... but it's a bad bad show unfortunately...
