Audience Member cool in parts with the people i wanted to see. kind of a huge douche-fest otherwise. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Quirky movie that looks to scientists and musicians to answer the question "What is music?". I found the interviews with the damaged musicians pretty entertaining. I recommend it to those who enjoy creating music. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A mixed bag of interviews about the nature of music. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Aside from the John Frusciante unedited interview its pretty much cack. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm always up for listening in on an interesting discussion of what music is, but this documentary is far too unfocused to get much out of it. Imagine, if you will, over an hour of scientists and people in the music industry (and oddly, film actors) talking about what their opinion of music is. Instead of being enlightening, it ends up sounding just... pretentious most of the time, if not downright pointless. I mean who cares that Julliette Lewis made out to Depeche Mode as a teenager? Then again, Tim & Eric are in it. Their segment made me laugh, for sure. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member A scientific look at music. Why do we have an emotional response to music? This is the main focus of the film. The problem is that there are many points of view with no real answer.
